To understand the dynamism of balance, let’s look at your human body.
You have many diverse systems working separately and together to create the homeostasis or harmony that keeps your body alive and vital. When the systems get out of balance – when a person has a heart attack or a ruptured spleen – the body begins to seize up and moves out of balance.
Each system needs to be “talking” to the other systems, the heart and lungs and the blood and the kidneys. All systems are listening, receiving messages and then making the necessary adjustments.
This is how it is in a family as well.
When you are listening to everyone’s differing needs and making appropriate adjustments, you can create balance and harmony within a family.
Rules and regulations can flex and flow depending on the ages of the children and the needs of the individual people within the system.
So to create balance you need to be in a dynamic flow, listening, responding and adjusting.
This creates a powerful attunement within the system. When you attune your entire being, you recognize your tune, your melody, your song and your note.
