MANTA: The renowned Mexican chef Enrique Olvera created Manta with an intriguing double meaning: the manta ray symbolizes the kitchen’s focus on seafood, while manta, the Spanish word for blanket, conveys the chef’s emphasis on comfort. Acknowledged by The New York Times for his “way of confirming and subverting expectations of Mexican food at the same time,” Olvera has drawn inspiration from the Japanese izakaya tradition to introduce a pan-Pacific concept to traditional Mexican cuisine. The richly textured space features an exhibition kitchen and a curated beverage menu focused on mezcals, tequilas and sakes.
GLASS BOX: Just off the lobby, take in the cool vibe of the stunning Glass Box lounge over coffee or cocktails. Architect Javier Sanchez’s inspired contemporary architectural gem boasts 180-degree views through its all-glass walls. Glass Box is the ideal destination to sample a rare Japanese whiskey or renowned mezcal, and is also a dramatic, yet intimate, venue ideal for private parties.
LOBBY BAR: The Cape’s lobby bar offers sunken communal seating, mid-century modern décor, vibrant hand woven rugs made in Mexico, and living room-style seating with a gaming area and pool table. The open-air space is the ideal rendezvous for drinks before and after dinner at the adjoining Manta restaurant.
LEDGE: Relax over breakfast or lunch at Ledge, our casual beach house restaurant serving a creative menu of contemporary Mexican classics, as well as traditional American breakfast favorites. The vibrant, luminous space features hand-blown glass lighting and Mexican-tiled décor extending outside to a pergola on the patio.
THE ROOFTOP: an open-air lounge, sitting six stories high, featuring unprecedented views of both downtown Cabo San Lucas and the sea. The only rooftop lounge in the city, it is open day and night and features a communal seating area and fire pit, a lush vertical garden, water features, two bars, and a menu of Mexican-style tapas and craft Baja beers. A resident DJ curates the upbeat musical stylings, evolving from day to night, with special events monthly.
Serene open-air corridors, with their interplay of light and shadow, lead the way to a natural rock formation that defines Currents’ pre-treatment space—truly an oasis unto itself. In addition to a pair of outdoor cabanas where guests may indulge in massages overlooking the ocean, Currents’ amenities also include private treatment rooms, hot and cold pools, a steam room, sauna, salon and spa store. And for those seeking more vigorous treatments, the fitness center offers state-of-the-art equipment and private sessions with expert trainers.
